SFTP and SCP

Connect to Linux, BSD and macOS servers over SSH. If a server doesn't offer SFTP, SwiftSCP switches to SCP on the same connection.

FTP and FTPS

Plain FTP, explicit TLS and implicit TLS. Works with vsftpd, ProFTPD, FileZilla Server and most hosting providers.

WebDAV

Over HTTP or HTTPS, including Nextcloud.

Amazon S3

AWS and S3-compatible storage such as MinIO, Wasabi, Cloudflare R2 and Backblaze B2. Large files upload in parts.

Two-pane Commander

Local and remote side by side. Sort, filter with wildcards, and use the classic keys: F5 copy, F6 move, F7 new folder, F8 delete.

Two-step sign-in

Servers that ask for a password and then a code just work. SwiftSCP fills in your saved password and asks only for the code.

Keys and the Keychain

OpenSSH, PEM and PuTTY keys with Ed25519, ECDSA and RSA. Passwords are stored in the macOS Keychain.

Background queue

Progress, speed and time left for every transfer. Pause, cancel, retry and resume.

Edit on the server

Double-click a remote file to open it in your editor. Each save goes straight back to the server.

Site Manager

Server keys checked

You confirm a server's key the first time. If it ever changes, you get a clear warning and Cancel is the default.

No broken files

Downloads are saved to a temporary file first and renamed when complete. A move never deletes a file that wasn't copied.
